AETN Boosts CABLEready Sales for Aus Channels

Singapore: AETN is bumping up sales at U.S.-based distributor, CABLEready, which last week said more than half of a slew of new deals in Australia were for AETN’s Crime and Investigation Network. Also in Australia, the History Channel bought three one-hour specials, including THE LINDBERGH BABY KIDNAPPING and STOLEN TREASURES, which follows a six-month investigation into the illegal smuggling of an ancient Egyptian headstone. Eight of the 16 Australia deals - including three one-hour episodes of the series BUSTED EVERYWHERE and four hour-long specials - were with Crime and Investigation. BUSTED EVERYWHERE shows surveillance footage of employees caught in the act of “rude, lewd and crude” behaviour in the workplace. South Korea’s A9 Media acquired three episodes of ON THE INSIDE, and Japan’s Channel 4 (Nippon) renewed MEDICAL DETECTIVES.
